About us

Our school
Speakers Idiomas is a language school located in the city of Gijón since 2015. Our classes are taught entirely in English and we combine the practice of grammar with conversation, since to learn, you have to practice speaking. Therefore, in order for all our students to have the opportunity to actively participate in the classes, our groups are small, always distributed according to their level of language knowledge.

Our team
The centre is formed by native teachers with degrees and specific qualifications in teaching English CELTA, TEFL, etc … who have extensive experience in the field of language teaching, both in Spain and abroad and by teachers with degrees in English Philology, with experience in public and private education.

Our objectives
Our goal is to give you the opportunity to learn English in a natural way, with clear and achievable goals so that learning is real and lasting. Therefore, students must work seriously, following the instructions of the teachers to meet the objectives of the course and also to obtain an official degree such as Cambridge English or Trinity College London. Speakers is an official examination centre of Trinity College London exminations and an official preparation centre of the University of Cambridge. We help students obtain the B2, C1 and C2 certifications in English currently demanded for the world of work.

Speakers Idiomas is member of ACEIAS, Association of Language Study Centres of Asturias, which ensures the quality of private language teaching and offers students a guarantee of seriousness and professionalism.

FECEI
Speakers Idiomas is member of FECEI, the Spanish Federation of Language Teaching Centres. FECEI is the organization that represents the employers’ interests of the language teaching centres sector in Spain. It is a valid interlocutor with the administration and is part of the employers’ representation in the negotiation of the non-regulated education centres agreement.

Cambridge English Language Assessment
Speakers Idiomas is an official Cambridge English Language Assessment preparation centre and enrolment centre for the official Cambridge exam sessions organised by the 2 official Cambridge exam centres in Asturias (ACEIPA ES072 and EXPERT ENGLISH ES089). We prepare students from the age of 6 for the Young Learners (Pre-A1 Starters, A1 Movers and A2 Flyers), Key (A2), Preliminary (B1), First (B2), Advanced (C1) and Proficiency (C2) exams.

Trinity College London
Speakers Idiomas is an examination centre of Trinity College London, which accredits our centre (centre number 60718) to carry out their official exams. We prepare our students from the age of 5 for the official GESE (Graded Examinations in Spoken English) and ISE (Integrated Skills in English) exams.

ACADE
SPEAKERS is a member of ACADE (Association of Autonomous Private Education Centres), a business organization founded in 1978 with the aim of defending and promoting non-subsidized private education, based on the recognition of this right in the Spanish Constitution.
